I was born in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia on November 19th 1981 where I lived for the first five years of my life. My family then moved to Sheet Harbour, Nova Scotia where I attended school until my graduation in the year 2000. During this time I was a pianist at Liscumb Lodge during the summers. After high school I moved to Halifax to attend Dalhousie Univeristy for a year and a half in the Computer Science field. After discovering the courses offered were not in line with my career path I moved back to Dartmouth to begin gaining experience in a technical support role.

I married my high school sweetheart, whom I went out with since the age of 16, on October 16th 2004. I started this blog on June 1st 2006 as a way to voice my opinion on current events concerning Nova Scotians. The hope was that I would be able to meet new friends, gain journalism experience and share my views with others worldwide.
