3 Arrested For Stealing From Dying Kids

This has to be the most disgusting thing I have heard of. 3 Quebec men were arrested in Truro for stealing money from the Make A Wish foundation. The thefts took place in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec and Ontario.

They are accused of posing as employees of a company called Unik which sells chocolate bars for $2 and gives the profit to the Make A Wish Foundation. The men walked in to the stores and emptied the funds in the box and sometimes took the remaining bars themselves. Store owners were concerned when they never returned with the display filled.

Between the four provinces there are as many as 40,000 boxes like this on display. No one knows how much damage this will cause and probably wont know until the end of the month.

I am a receptionist in montreal and I have one of these boxes at my desk same as I sell MIRA chocolates. This box just got left 2 times when I was away at lunch. when the mira girl came in she warned me it is likely a scam. I looked then box in my drawer and am waiting 1 month. then I will donate myself to the make a wish!!
I thought it odd that they were selling Kit Kats etc. and only some UNIK chocolate!! I hope they come in so I can drill em but am guessing and hoping they were arrested!

Unik Chocolate works of behalf of the make a wish foundation to raise money for sick and dying kids...that is not a scam...what may have been a scam is people who do not actually work for unik chocolate collecting the money and or bars..thats why you shoulkd always check the people who are collecting...they should have proper indentification linked with the company.

Actually, I used to work for them in Ontario. They are a complete scam. With their "40,000" boxes they only pay a set fee to the charities that they fundraise for. Glenn Baker, Mike Baker, and Sylvain Danaeau are constantly bankrupting the government for millions of dollars. They own several properties in the Quebec / New Brunswick areas, as well as expensive cars.

You should remove these boxes from your storefronts. If you sell the entire box, the entire amount goes to their head office in Montreal.
